First Generation and Peer Mentors
The OSU Library First Generation College Student Employment-Mentor Experience was founded in 2017 as a way to connect first-generation college freshmen to the Oklahoma State University community. The program’s goal is to positively impact the lives and empower the success of first-generation college students.
First-Generation Mentees in the program are provided student assistant job with the OSU Library. In addition to receiving a student assistant job, First-Generation Mentees will be assigned a student Peer Mentor as well as a Senior Mentor from the Library’s faculty or staff.
The Library will begin taking applications for the First Generation College Student Employment-Mentorship program in mid-March.
There are no First Generation and Peer Mentors currently available at the OSU Library
