Maps and Spatial Data Student Assistant

Oklahoma State University Library has multiple openings for student assistants to work in McCasland Maps and Spatial Data and the new Digital Scholarship Center for at least 10 hours per week. Hours will fall between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.

 

What You'll Do

Students are responsible for fulfilling requests for maps, aerial photographs, print posters, staff desks, provide customer service, perform data entry, and other duties as assigned. Self-starting individuals can learn GIS, propose projects, and otherwise have a direct impact on the department.

 

Required Qualifications

Applicants need to pay close attention to detail, be familiar with office productivity software (especially Microsoft Excel), and possess other basic computer skills. Need to be able to lift objects up to 40 lbs. Must be respectful of others. 

Must be enrolled at OSU.

Work study preferred.

Desired Qualifications

Previous data entry experience. Customer service background.
